HOPE Community Information System

In November 2007, HOPE launched a web-based database called the HOPE Community Information System (HCIS) to collect information about clients and their households. HCIS allows the sharing of client demographics, housing, income, benefits and other client-related information among area agencies. This sharing of information results in a better assessment of client needs, improved quality of services and enhanced coordination of services among local providers.

Area agencies currently utilizing HCIS are:

bulletHOPE
bulletCrossroads Shelter
bulletMountain C.A.P. (Community Action Program)
bulletBrock Hughes Free Clinic
bulletHOPE Supportive Housing Program
bulletBenevolent Medication Program
bulletBland County Department of Social Services

By working together, service providers help ensure that clients get the assistance they need and that limited resources are not abused or duplicated.

HCIS was partially funded by a grant from the Wythe-Bland Community Foundation.
